GeoAvalanche prevents you from visiting places at high risk of avalanches by increasing your awareness of the snow avalanche conditions. At any time you can view the latest reports received on the map and share the situation of the path you're encountering by SMS or internet connection as well as by using your preferred social media (Twitter , Facebook) with appropriate hashtags.

Are you ended up to an area with no network coverage? No matter, fill in the information because we guarantee that it will be sent as soon as it becomes available again or you'll arrive in an area with wifi access.

Volunteers, regulars and professional groups can therefore, collect, sort, and reliably report, in real time, from their smartphone, localised information about the weather, snowy terrain, possible threats, avalanches and related accidents.

We collect all this information of areas that are potentially prone to avalanches in order to put them at the disposal of national competence centers for the assessment of risk in the most frequented places to acting as an additional support tool and effectively increase safety in the mountains .

The reports received are filtered, checked and approved according to the profiles of users and their trustiness up to the publication of the map that goes, then, to the public domain .
