The objective is to fill a 9×9 grid with digits so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3×3 sub-grids that compose the grid (also called “boxes”, “blocks”, “regions”, or “sub-squares”) contains all of the digits from 1 to 9.

Sudoku is a logic and thinking game that has become very popular worldwide. The goal of the game is to fill a 9x9 grid with numbers from 1 to 9 so that each row, column, and 3x3 region contains each number only once.

To play Sudoku, a grid is provided with some of the cells already completed. The rest of the cells are blank and it is the player's job to fill them in. Players must use their logic and ability to eliminate options to determine what number goes in each blank cell.

There are many different ways to approach a Sudoku puzzle, and it is often helpful to divide the grid into smaller regions and work on each one separately. It is also helpful to have a list of the missing numbers in each row, column, and region to help identify which numbers can go in each blank cell.
