The app sends notifications to the mobile device if it is nearby an AFM display
The iAvocado application from Avocados from Mexico for Android sends the user a notification to their mobile device when they are nearby an Avocado from Mexico display in a grocery store. The notification provides discount coupons and recipe ideas for Avocado from Mexico products. The application detects Bluetooth Low Energy beacons (iBeacons) on the grocery store displays.
Other features of the application include:
• Ability to turn off notifications
• Direct links to Avocado from Mexico website including recipes
• Button to redeem coupons
• Ability to turn off sound
