In Graviditetskalender N you can see pictures and read about the fetal development and what happens in the woman's body week by week throughout pregnancy.

You can go directly to the pregnancy week you want to read about by clicking on "week by week".

If you want to figure out which pregnancy week you or your partner is in, click the tab "Calculate pregnancy week" and fill in the date for the latest menses. Then you get the current week of pregnancy and also a calculated date of birth for your child.

If you have already received an estimated date of birth, you can instead specify it directly.

In the app you will also find links to the whole theme of pregnant at 1177 Care guide, with texts about thoughts and feelings when you are pregnant, good food and exercise, childbirth, first time with newborn child, breastfeeding, bottle feeding, childbirth and much more.

1177 Care Guide is a national website with information about healthcare and health. The content of the 1177 Care Guide is developed by doctors and nurses from all over the country and is examined at several stages. Behind the website stands Swedish healthcare through all county councils and regions in collaboration.

How does the weekly calculator work?

When you have to figure out how far a pregnancy has come, you start with the first day of the last menses. It is counted as the first day of pregnancy, even though you are not really pregnant yet. Then you count the weeks that follow.

It often differs between how care expresses what week you are in and how most prospective parents put it. When a prospective parent says "I am in week 20" it usually means that 19 whole weeks have passed, and that you are in the 20th week started. Maybe it has been three days into the 20th week. This calls a midwife for week 19 + 3. This is because care only counts the whole weeks, plus the days of the week started.

This is good to remember, as it can be easy to get a little confused. Especially as the fetal development is so fast - a lot happens between the first and last day of the same week of pregnancy.
